Peers Connect!
Peers Connect Global Association is a non-profit organization created by students, for students. We provide free tutoring sessions in a variety of academic subjects, and offer the opportunity for students to tutor other students. Our accessible online platform allows students to connect with tutors and find educational resources.
Our Mission
Peers Connect Global Association wants to provide students with the opportunity to pursue academic success, through connecting them to the guidance and expertise of fellow students. Through allowing students to sign up as tutors, we offer them the chance to use their skills to help other students on their journey to success.
Why PCGA?
- PCGA is entirely free. We believe that all students deserve equal access to educational support and resources, and to academic and personal success.
- PCGA is accessible. Students can find us online, request tutoring sessions over Discord, and be tutored over Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype. Our services are available during the COVID-19 pandemic and across different countries and regions.
- PCGA is flexible with class timing and sizing. Students can request tutoring sessions based on their own schedule, and tutors can accept requests based on their own availability. We provide both one-on-one tutoring sessions and group lessons.
- PCGA has qualified tutors. Not only are our tutors knowledgeable and experienced, they are students themselves who understand the experiences and needs of the tutees. Students will receive empathy and encouragement during PCGA tutoring sessions.
- PCGA covers many subjects. We offer tutoring sessions for Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science, as well as preparation for standardized exams.
- PCGA provides service opportunities. Students who sign up as tutors have the opportunity to gain volunteer experience and receive community service hours.
- PCGA values safety and privacy. We verify students and tutors using their school-provided email addresses, and protect student and tutor privacy with our anonymous username system.
- PCGA organizes fundraisers and other charitable activities. We are dedicated to contributing to our community. In the fall of 2022, we hosted our first ever PCGA Ukraine Charity Debate Tournament 2022, raising over $1600 for the Toronto Ukrainian Foundation. Read more here.
